THE WATERS YOU HAVEN'T SWUM (Life's Vast Ocean: Navigating Unique Stories)

In this diverse world, stories we all hold,

Different paths, in various ways, unfold,

Swimming, running, crawling, flying high,

Unique journeys, beneath the same sky.

Our lives, a tapestry, woven with care,

No one can fathom, another's despair,

Perspectives shaped by our experiences true,

Through our own lenses, we view the hue.

Let's stop generalizing, make a pledge,

To listen to understand, not just to allege,

For some, sharing stories, a cathartic release,

Not seeking advice, just a moment of peace.

Our environments shape us, influence the mind,

Paradigms on life, varied and defined,

In waters uncharted, I once found myself,

Sinking, drowning, losing a sense of self.

A movie in slow motion, I felt the descent,

Overwhelmed by thoughts, self-judgment, lament,

Malevolent whispers, your opinions' sway,

Led me to depths, where hope seemed to fray.

But amidst the darkness, I found strength anew,

Words from my journals, relationships true,

A fighter awakened, I resolved to rise,

No longer resigned to silent demise.

Though I couldn't swim, I leaped in the sea,

Life's circumstances, an ocean of glee,

What held me paralyzed, as I sank down low,

Were perspectives, misconceptions, fears that I'd sew.

Our past shapes the present, identities evolve,

Actions now, our future's resolve,

I've got a life vest, to keep me afloat,

Walking, running, crawling, in life's boat.

Learning to fly, to soar through the air,

One day I'll reach heights, beyond compare,

Living day by day, in the present I thrive,

With a life jacket, I'll stay alive.

My advice to you, my friend, is clear,

Embrace your worth, cast away fear,

We all come from waters, unique and diverse,

Understanding each other, let kindness immerse.

For in this vast ocean, we navigate far,

Walk, crawl, swim, or fly, reach for the star,

Life is what we make, our choices define,

I live each moment, my own story, in mine. 💖
